MUHAMMAD DARAB

Who's Darab ✦

The story so far.

Four years, three companies, sixteen projects.

The story ★

I'm Muhammad Darab — a software engineer from Lahore who's been shipping software professionally since March 2022. I started out estimating projects and debugging broken open-source codebases at InvoZone, and somewhere between fixing my hundredth bug and shipping my first Electron app, debugging stopped being a chore and became the part I like most.

Since then I've worked across client products, internal tools, startups, and open source — real-time location tracking, a QA marketplace, a company-wide chat migration, an AI referral platform for healthcare, an agentic dev platform, and the backend serving a global Web3 navigation ecosystem. Full stack when needed, happiest in the backend.

These days I work AI-accelerated: agents handle the boilerplate, scaffolding, and first drafts — Claude Code, Gemini, and ChatGPT in the daily loop, v0 and Lovable for rapid prototyping — which frees me to focus on the parts machines don't do well: architecture, judgment, and knowing what not to build.

What I care about: software that holds up. Accurate estimates, honest code reviews, boring reliable deployments, and systems that don't fall over when traffic shows up.
